Below is a screen shot of the “version” on our 2013 iDrive. Does this show the maps have never been updated since the car was new? Alternatively is it just an indication that the system is from 2013?

The map has not been updated. Current version is probably NEXT 2022-2

Here is the build spec from the VIN number.
Just want to be sure I’m buying the right thing before pulling the trigger

Mine asked for my VIN and only let me have the correct version for my car. S609 is what most of us have fitted.

Quick update. Downloaded the map version in the link I posted, which took hours and hours for some reason. Uploaded onto memory stick and have now updated into the car which now shows Map version as 2023-1.

So looks like Mrs Boris is all up to date
