LED side repeaters
One of my F25's side repeaters has been plagued with internal condensation for some time now.
While I was checking everyone's favourite auction site for a replacement, I noticed that I can get a pair of aftermarket LED units for less than the cost of a single genuine BMW replacement.
I'm tempted, but should I..................?

Can't hurt to try. I've considered the glossy black type as they'd match all the window trims, but, a difficult MOT tester and they'd be toast .

That ^^^ had occurred to me. As ever with non-standard/non-genuine stuff, I'm torn.sapphireblack wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 6:19 amI've considered the glossy black type as they'd match all the window trims

Well, I've got a pair of these coming. The listing claims they're MOT-friendly. It was a toss-up between them at £20 delivered for the pair, unbranded pattern-part at £22 delivered for one, or genuine BMW at over £50 delivered for one. I figured that even if these are no good, or I don't like them, I can still get the unbranded pattern-part and not have spent as much in total as I would for a genuine BMW one.

£50 for one Reads like a joke but not a funny one.

Well, every day's a school day - even for pensioners!
Because I was taken-in be eBay sellers proclaiming "LED. No errors", I assumed genuine ones have capless incandescent bulbs. The one with the condensation in fell apart. It's the one fitted at the factory, and it's LED.
So, really, all I've done is fit the black variant of OEM-quality ones. They are made by TYC.

So, you're happy with the fit and finish of the black ones? Surprised there's no image to look at
