My drivers window only inches up and down, it comes up with, power window anti-trap function ! and a window symbol !
Any ideas what needs replacing ?

Might be something simple like the glass sticking in the runners, or the pivots in the mechanism gone tight. ..........Possibly the motor on the way out.

Did this happen after a battery disconnect or was door apart for some reason?
Does one touch function work?

Could be a variety of things like bad switch, motor, mechanical tracks, pinched weatherstripping, etc. Read codes out of obd2.

At best, You may just need a normalization of the motor, or a full initialization sequence depending on what happened.

1)
To normalize, Ensure system voltage is about 14v(engine running or on charger), close all doors, Press power window switch in ”Close” position and hold for approx. 2 seconds with window fully closed.
If ok stop here.

If not,
2)
To delete programming and reinitialize:
Ensure battery voltage is around 14. Close all doors.
Open window fully.
Actuate power window switch open and hold down switch in open position for between 15 and 20 seconds.(disables anti trap and 1 touch).
*Check now to ensure 1 touch is disabled, repeat if not disabled. If complete, youve cleared memory.
Next,
Re-initialisation:

Close door window completely.
As soon as closed position is reached, quickly let go and press switch up again (in closed direction) and hold switch for approx. 1 second in ”Closed” position.

Open window fully.
Again, as window fully opens, release switch and then hold switch again (in open position) for approx. 1 second.

Close door window completely.

Again, as soon as window closes, release then hold switch (in closed position) for approx. 1 second.

Initialization complete.
Check that 1 touch and anti trap functions correctly.

Annoying process, but necessary.
