I had my x6 gearbox serviced by these guys https://austrin-engineering.co.uk/, they are based in Tyne and Wear so might not be suitable for all but I would certainly recommend them.
Box has never been better, but the oil has never been changed from new, it now has 57000 miles under its belt

I've had mine done there twice, at 73k and recently at 106k. I don't hesitate to recommend them either.
