Which bit is broken? The wire at the glow-plug(s) or the glow-plug itself?
Try here for identifying any connectors (it’s a copy of the BMW Parts database) - I selected a 2004 build E53 30d::
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partgr ... _30d&mg=61
If the plug itself has snapped then you need new ones - change all of them - and it is recommended to change the controller as well as faulty plugs often cause the control unit to fail.
Parts here: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpa ... Id=12_1197
If the plug is stuck in the engine then you need a special extraction kit and I would recommend that you leave that to an expert. There are kits that will get the broken bits out without stripping the engine, but if you get it wrong then the head must come off.

Ah. It happened to me on my X6 as well. 6 plugs, controller, extractor kit cost me £800. Three of mine snapped! Half was the labour.
See above - I’ve added more detail in my post.
You’ll need an extraction kit - about £60 - for a cheap kit or £300 for a professional kit. There are how to videos online but you need to be very careful to avoid any bits dropping into the engine!
It is recommended you spray some form of penetration fluid around the plugs (BMW have a specific one) several times before any attempt at extracting these plugs. When you put new ones in a light smear of high temp ceramic grease will help prevent seizure in the future.

In that case you need to go through RealOEM to identify the actual part and then see if you can get one from BMW. Have a chat with your local BMW Dealer parts folks as they’ve probably had it happen to them so will know exactly which cap to get (they might even have one in stock
). Or try an auto-electrician.
