Door pocket ambient lighting

Hi guys, after nearly 3 years of ownership, tonight I noticed there's ambient lighting in the front door pockets

Yes subtle isn't it lol, I only noticed the red strip as I had the rear door cards off to fix a water leak

The latest models have a pick your own colour optiion. What we really need is the 'disco version' to change with the music..........I'll get my coat

We have blue ambient lighting as the only choice in the 2er (with white instruments) and I still think the classic BMW Orange is the best.

Was bmw the first manufacturer to have it? I'm sure my old e36 had it.

Hi I never noticed the light on door panels, just been out to have a look . But only the passenger door one is working , so has anyone had to replace or repair these.
