hi all,

i am new to X5 ownership and have just had a beep when i turned the key off..

problem is i have the issue with the console display where the pixels are broken on the dash so cannot see what the beep message is saying.

Do i have any other way of seeing what the message says?

It has the full widescreen sat nav installed?

I think it is a check bulb message but i cannot be sure..

Hi, a lot of possibilities here!!

I would check the screen wash, bulbs and oil..

You can have the pixel problem sorted too for not a lot of money if you are interested... I know that sort of problem would bug me!

Hi thanks for the replies.

do you know how much we are talking?? it is driving me crazy

mine cost £80 to fix.. i had to drive to the guys house in southampton.. well worth the journey !!

The part to fix it is about 20 quid and there are a few diy threads showing how to do it. its a ribbon cable thats gone or you could just try cleaning the original cable
