Hi all,
I'm new to forum (obviously ) and I joined because I'm looking for an X5, I've wanted one for a couple of years now as I'm 'growing up' and realise it's not fun for people to climb in the back of a 911 or 840Ci
I used to be an active member of other boards, namely BMW5 and BMWcarclub, 911 forum etc.. and now hopefully here....
I currently drive a BMW 840Ci, and got rid of my 911. the 840 is actually the longest I've ever owned a car, i've had her more than 6 years now and will never sell her. Previous rides too many to mention; i've had an E39 M5, 2xE39 540's (1 Touring 1 saloon) 3xE39 528i Sports (saloon>touring>saloon. Dogs always prompt the purchase of a touring ) about 10 E46's some E36's, E34 M5 and loads of E34 525's blah blah waffling......... I like BMW (i think i've had 31 BMW's)
SO, now it's time for an X5, I want sensible, practical, good looking, reliable, fun to drive with plenty toys somewhere to stick a dog in the back (I don't actually have a dog at the minute, but I'd like to know I can put one in the bacl ) put a bike rack on the back, and actually get people in the back seats too (when a 3 year old complains that they don't like a Porsche 911 because it's too small, and prefers the E31 but still says it's too small, then it must be too small. 3 year olds don't lie, much!).
Ok, so i think now is the time to stop, i'll be telling you about the blister on my foot at this rate........
I will probably be asking a few stupid, already asked/answered questions during my quest to find my X5.
Cheers,
JV
