Just joined the club with a purchase I am very much enjoying:
53 plate X5 3.0d Sport Facelift in Black with many whistles and bells. I have an invoice for the previous owner totalling almost £49k from new! He sure ticked a lot of boxes. Just paid £12k with 97k and FSH from a small dealer. Drives like a dream!
Will no doubt be asking questions soon!

Welcome aboard. Very nice looking car. Shame that the filthy British roads mean keeping dark colours really nice and clean is such a labour of love.......
I think my '05 was getting pretty close to that figure when I bought her - EDIT: just checked and I paid £53760 inc 5yr service pack. ISTR that I only left rear seat heating, steering wheel heating and front air susp off the tick list - along with the DSP Hi-Fi. The Dealer told me it was the best specced E53 Diesel they had ever sold. Funnily enough my current Dealer said my X6 was like that last year, but then they haven't sold that many.

Welocme!
Lovely car - you have a lot of work ahead of you! We need cluster rings, 20's, some arches, updated SatNav, Intravee, a sub box!
Enjoy the car, the weather makes it even better!

Form pics & info to date, (assuming it's been fairly well maintained), it certainly seems a good purchase of a decent spec example. My favourite colour trim combo too.
If I was looking to change to a facelift 3.0d & sourced that then I would be very happy indeed.
You may be lucky but it is likely that you will find 1 or 2 things needing attention as you get to know the car......if this does happen then don't let it put you off.

Thanks for the warm welcome all
Not sure I'll be pimping it up any more though! Not while the kids are making a mess of it anyway.
I've always been sceptical of off roaders, but this one really does drive so well.
