Logging in
I'm getting a repeat of a past issue.
Came to the forum yesterday and had to log in, i never log out I logged in, or tried anyway, hissy-fit forum didnt recognise me. Thought i'd reset my password but my email address wasnt recognised either. At one point i managed to log in, only to see the log in boxes at the bottom of the page inviting me to err, log in.
I'm here now obviously, but if i leave, when i return i have to log in again. Tedious

Re: Logging in
Try sending Sp3ctre a PM. He’s the technical brains behind the forum. It’s usually a cookie issue - unless something nefarious is being attempted with your account!

Re: Logging in
i can't even send Sp3ctre a message for some reason, his name is rejected in a PM
Re: Logging in
Interested in the answer. I have the same problem. PITA. Ticked the remember me box and have now reached the limits of my skills.

Re: Logging in
He’s still around, it may be an all lower case username. He was on the Forum last week.
Haven’t seen pvr or AW8 in ages - Moderators - so we must be behaving

Re: Logging in
Had to log in just to reply to this
In trying to PM Sp3ctre his name appears as a prompt so spelling not an issue, unlike forum behaviour

Re: Logging in
Bl@@dy forum
Typed a long reply on another thread but couldnt post it as i wasn't logged in FFS. Finally logged in after four attempts and my typed message was nowhere to be seen.
I'll amuse myself somewhere else until this is resolved, again.

I just typed and sent a PM to Sp3ctre. Its disappeared, literally not showing in any folder

Re: Logging in
Thank you.
Think my direct PM may now be lurking somewhere.

Re: Logging in
Hi,
I haven't changed anything within the settings for a long time, so not sure why this would just start happening now. However, I did just check and have found a small gremlin in the settings which I have corrected. Not sure if it will clear this up or not but worth trying.
Here are the steps to try your side:
- Clear your browser cache (including cookies)
- Remove any bookmarks (favourites to the forum)
- manually access the forum by typing the address, xdrivers.co.uk
- login
- Once logged in feel free to create a bookmark if you used to have one
If you follow these steps hopefully the issue will be resolved.

Re: Logging in
Just returned to the forum and i'd been logged out, again
Re: Logging in
Have you got ‘remember me’ ticked or whatever this forum calls it. If not ticked it will log you out when you leave. It’s about all that I can think of

Re: Logging in
Interesting question.
Noting i have been logged out, i tap on log in, surprising i know. Its auto filled but my log in name is shown as my email address. When i tap on that to change it, it switches to Sapphireblack in a nano second and logs me in before i can select remember me
