Any audio experts here?

Like me my android phone is ageing. I've tried to upgrade it recently (all Samsung) but it all goes pear shapped, even when a Samsung remote access techie has the reigns.

So, i have about 4Gb of much loved music on my phone viewing/played via Bluetooth on the 'Samsung Music' app.

I'd like to free up the storage space these files occupy, is there any kind of device that i can move the music to but still be able to view on a screen and select to play it thru the cars Bluetooth audio system?

A second cheap phone is an option i suppose but something small like an early mini i-pod would make life easier and better. I am however unaware of what my options could be.

You don't say which Samsung phone you have but is it not possible to add a larger SD card and transfer music etc to that, thus freeing up space on the phone itself?

Its a humble Samsung A3.

I fitted an SD card ages ago but to access the music is a problem. On the app music is displayed as, artists, albums, titles etc. On the SD card it's just a jumble of some 700 music tracks.

If you put the SD card into a computer and open the card and select all then copy.
Then make a new folder on your desktop and select paste.
Get a bigger SD card and do the reverse it should work as it did with the first SD card but then you will be able to add more if wanted.

That sounds plausible. Just the absence of a PC these days is the problem :(

Have you tried this, it shows how to move apps / data to the sd card, on an A3 so perhaps worth looking into further

It seems the Samsung Music app is not a moveable type :(

To close this off, i bought a second identical handset and moved all my music onto it. I now have space to add yet more and like any such device it can be moved around at will, any BT equipped car or even indoors can provide me with music.

In effect i have created an android i-pod, it works well
