Hi all. So I'm dallying with the idea of wheel spacers. The recessed wheel stance has always bothered me. Plus my back is shot and bolts to hang the wheel on appeals. .....took me, and the wife, to hang the 315 a couple of days ago.
Just looking for the optimum size for a standard 2006 Le Mans.
From memory it's 30 mill, rear, 25mill front.
I was thinking Eibach.

Have you considered wheel locating studs? A couple on each hub at maybe £15 or less as you replace a wheel is cheaper than spacers. If you've 315 rears already 25/30mm will push the wheel very near the edge limit i'd have thought

I have a couple of those that I got from Amazon. They weren’t expensive from memory. I do cheat a bit too by changing the height of the car with a trolley jack to get it near enough to slide on - a faff yes, but.. Having a knackered lower spine means being careful these days.

My old cayenne came with a wheel locating rod that you screwed into where a bolt would go. Then it was a doddle to put wheel back on.
Ive got spacers on mine. 25mm front and 35mm at the rear. They still have bolt holes though so no different putting a wheel on even without them. Maybe there is a sud conversion spacer but I have not seen one.

Correction. I've just found a stud conversion from ecs tuning compatable with spacers.

My old Touareg is supplied with one from new too. It seems BMW never thought to include such a simple device

Older bmws certainly came with a locating rod like the e36 and e46 .I bought some from ebay for the x5 it was makes putting on the wheels much easier given they are near 40kg for a rear 21 . Still not easy and you need to be reasonably strong to handle these Swapping a set has me wrecked lol

Thats interesting, neither of my E39s were so equiped, nor my E53, E63 or E71

What about a bit of threaded rod from B&Q cut to length and a wrap of masking tape on the exposed thread. Cheap and cheerful
