What can I say...Modding Never Dies..... <!-- s8-) -->8-)<!-- s8-) -->
I've had plans for the X5 ever since buying it. Everyone who knows me knows that in the last few years I've had a few cars and modded the hell out of all of them. Well the X5 is no different, but it's taken a while to get over the inherent electrical issues that the E53's suffer from.
So, I spoke to Phil at SCR Bodywork regarding all the bodywork/paintwork to be completed and Chris at Posh Leathers to discuss the interior.
The X has been booked in for a while with both and finally D'day arrived. Up at 6am this morning I made the trip down to SCR.
So how she looked before we got to work:
I'd already taken the back seats out the night before to make it a little easier:
We started with stripping these out (as interior is looking very tired):
Door cards, seats, gaiters all needed removing:
A couple of items from here also needed to be removed:
Then onto the exterior as KG will be working the magic on the lights.
Rear lights out:
The front bumper removed to get to the front units:
We left the front bumper and a couple of boxes of bits outside the oven for SCR to make their start:
We put all the interior into the back of a friends X5 ready for the trip to Chris @ Posh Leathers:
After an hour on the road and a Maccy D's later we got to Posh Leathers and had a quick chat to Chris before leaving these sorry worn seats for him to sort:
So it begins.......<!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D --> <!-- s8-) -->8-)<!-- s8-) -->
This thread will hopefully be updated on a regular basis showing how the collaboration gets on and the workmanship of all involved.
Thanks for looking.
