Hey everyone!
Long time user of the sister site (Z4 Forum) and not new to BMW"s but have just picked up my first X5!
It's a 55 plate E53 3.0i for daily duties as my Z4 becomes a little more of a pain to drive about as a daily and evolves to being more track focussed! (Think I may just be getting old!
)
Pics to follow shortly but in the meantime, some pics of my Z4s!

Welcome, now that is how a Z4 should look. Do you have any plans for the X5 or leave it as is?

Always liked the Z4
I still like two seaters but an aging back makes climbing up and sliding out of a 4x4 far more comfortable. The principal reason i sold my E63.
Enjoy your X5 it'll be very very different

Thank you everyone!
Plans for the X5 will be to make sure it’s mechanically sound (bought it sight unseen). Will be doing a full fluid change, new filters, spark plugs and coil packs, checking DISA valve etc and replace anything else as necessary.
It has an Alpine double din which a younger me would have loved but I think it ruins the look of the dash so will probably swap it out for a more OEM looking android unit.
I also will probably end up doing an audio system of some description too. A nice little 5 channel amp, upgrade the door speakers and a sub hidden in the boot.
I would like to go down the route of lowering the car but that remains to be seen!

Nooo, lowering any X series defeats the purpose
