Errrr, yeah, apologies for that, the other half had her 120M sport written off last Sept and that's the replacement, I have had harsh words with her and I'm assured it won't happen again !

Haha, no she just couldn't replace it with the same spec for the money the insurance coughed up, we actually had the 'BMW girl' conversation this morning and I think the Volvo's days are numbered, watch this space ! lol

I know the feeling! I wrote off my 3 series about 20 years ago and got a pittance from the insurance company. I lived up to my Barbie reputation though and got a soft top XR3i. OMG what a chav!

XR3i!![/size]. Well at least your tastes have improved somewhat. I could have said 'hairderesser' but that would have been unkind. The only reason that Ford had to add the 'i' was because the XR2 was faster. Embarrassingly so.
We tried both out when I was working for Surrey Police back in the day. We ended up with the Metros (oh dear), 1100 & 1300 Escorts (really oh dear because they ate cambelts which had to be replaced at 3k intervals to prevent engine destruction) and Vauxhall Senator 3.0 24V (a real beast) and some XR4i's.
Ido seem to remember that the Traffic Centre issued with the first XR4i did manage to prang it on its first shift. I can't remember the cause, although I suspect it was too much loud pedal! I think the roads were wet at the time too

A 1-er or 3-er Convertible perhaps? My wife has now decided it's soft top weather again so her E46 is about to be allowed out to play. I think she quite fancies a newer one, but the boot is tiny because of the steel roof. Having said that, her M-Sport Conv is low mileage, diesel 3.0, drives superbly and has all the toys. I dread to think what replacing it would really cost now 6 years on.

I think she's deffinately going back to a 1 series but even then we have a difference of oppinion, she says it's going a 2 litre diesel, I think it needs to be a 3 litre petrol, but hey, that's just me
