Anyone seen this or have anything like this? I want it (but not the gear shifter). How is this done as the immobiliser has to recognise the the key doesn’t it?
I hope the link works but if it doesn’t it’s a start stop button without the use of the key.

Looks like those pesky Russians have got bored with the American Elections and have hacked a Beemer

Seen the gear shift kits around but never tried one, my 4.6is is as original as I can keep it who knows as they drop off the road they may go up in value.

I had the gear shift upgrade on my ex E63 but it didnt incorporate the electric park element, but it was a nice looking upgrade.

The push button stop start is nice but if i still owned an E53 i don't think i would bother.

The steering wheel upgrade looks nice too but heavily adapted, and possibly fragile as a result. Bet its not a cheap upgrade either :!:

Talking of upgrades, my X5 has the early small square tv screen sat nav unit. I’ve seen these modern android head units that look similar to the later bmw wide screen unit. There are some on eBay for £150. Are they any good?
I’ve just bought a head unit for our motor home - mp3, Bluetooth, fm, so card, usb etc but no cd and it was only £11:99. It looks the part and sounds really good - even has a graphic equaliser on it...

I looked at a screen upgrade a while ago, i can't imagine anything for a modest £150 would be very good to be blunt. Iirc the unit i was contemplating was circa £1k

I don’t know.. some of the ‘top quality’ replacement head units only cost circa £400. Anyone got one in the car?

This one.
It looks similar to the later wide screen item. Would this work with the amp in the back and subwoofer?

I meant to say, what about the cd multichanger as well?

Ah, i had misunderstood. I thought you had meant the current "perched on top'' widescreen type. The in dash widescreen types you link to i believe are better than the factory equipment which is seriously old hat now :)

383683527867 Love it or hate it this is what I will fit if the DYNAVIN packs up or if I can mod it to fit in the e46. I would also fit the RESLER app to intergrate the DSP, OBC and diagnostics onto the screen.

I had a Dynavin N7 which does integrate with DSP amp but it was a bloody nightmare, never worked properly with Apple gear - I ended up getting my money back through Barclaycard.

I’ve got an Alpine iLX-F903D Halo9 in now which works as you would expect with Alpine, to get round the DSP the installers fitted an amp in the boot to power up the original subs, and crossovers so all 12 speakers worked properly.
