Soft close door latch

One of my rear soft close actuators has stopped working, can still slam it shut like a normal door but the soft close action doesn't work (surprises me now and then by triggering once in a hundred times).
I haven’t called the stealers parts counter to get a price yet but based on realoem parts catalog it’s probably going to be the best part of £500. Given I need to buy another comfort access handle which is almost £400 I’d rather not spend that on a new door latch.
Has anyone else replaced one of these? I have found Chinese OEM soft close latches for £150; any experience with these?
