3.0d e53 gearbox oil change

Morning can anyone tell me which oil and how much is needed to do gearbox oil change as car is on 180,000 odd and don’t know when or if it’s ever been changed

The official ZF kit for the 6 speed comes with 7 litres of their OEM Lifeguard 6 oil if that helps? Use of the correct oil is critical.

Ideal thanks. I’m guessing there’s no rubber sleeves and bridge to replace on these like on the e60’s

The kits usually contain a filter, gaskets, new bolts and some also include a sleeve for the electrical connection to the Mechatronics module.

I had mine done at my local bmw indi about a year ago only cost me £134 i think or £3137 and well worth it.
I thought the box was ok before but it was on 167k so had it done after it was like silk.
