BMW service costs
Hi all, my X5 is due its big service next month. Now as my car is over 5 years old i thought the prices were concededly cheaper BUT had a quote from a main dealer and nearly fell off my chair..!! Does anybody no if things have changed lately with all this virus ? Also seeing a quote off £67.48 for an vehicle check service and standard scope £31.17...?? what's these ?? Thanks, Mark
Re: BMW service costs
Find a decent local Indy. My Dealer is telling me the ‘big service’ on our F46 is north of £600! It will be going to a specialist in Milton Keynes. Main dealer prices are around £225/hr which is unreasonable IMHO whereas my local Indy (all ex-BMW Techs & and a Master Tech) charge £60/hr.
If you are handy with tools you can diy too. Instructions etc are found at newtis.info. I do all of the intermediates now on the E46/E71 and have a general good look over the car at the same time. Only tricky (or higher risk items) result in an Indy trip. I do a diagnostic with Carly and reset the service/inspection lights with it too.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Re: BMW service costs
Thanks, anyone recommend a good Indy in Nottingham/Derby ?
Re: BMW service costs
Worth trying Hughes Brothers in Derby, they appear to be very knowledgeable and to have a good reputation
