Hi,
My alarm keeps going off by itself and will not turn off when the key is inserted, I had a local garage look at it yesterday and am told the siren has its own battery pack, and the whole unit needs replacing, but he was unsure where it is located and how long it will take to replace?
Has anybody replaced this item before?
Thanks,
Gareth

Where is the siren located?
Re: Where is the siren located?
Front right wheel arch, behind the liner.
Remove as per .... doesn’t look like it has it’s own battery from the images (unless it’s all part of the module). Dodgy tilt sensor sounds like the issue.

Might also need some coding activity but the instructions don’t say what!
See this too - checks of the control module (in the vehicle roof) ...

The wiring diagram shows no secondary battery.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
