hi all,

firstly i own an E70 200 SD

new to the forum, i have an issue since last week where i place the car in reverse and where it should show the stream from the camera is black.

no error messages on the screen and no error message stored tried with INPA and ISTA D .

is there anyway to test if it is the camera faulty or something else?

Probably worth you having a look at newtis.info as it holds the BMW Service instructions as used by the Dealer. Could be a set of test guides in there that would help.

It could be the camera itself, wiring or the video module (it’s by the pedals I think on you car). Check for water in the tailgate too.

there is no indication on TIS what do do to test but now my next task is to check if i have a video multiplexer.

I know it is a basic suggestion but have you checked the fuse?

I am just about to retrofit a reversing camera and I have to route it via the fusebox.

changed the camera and now is all back as usual.
