Can some one tell me where bonnet sensor is on a 2008 x5 please and a pic would be most helpfull .I did look online but can not see anything

It's by the bulkhead straight in front of the driver.

It’s within the right hand bonnet lock. There’s a tilt sensor in the right hand front wheel arch behind all the liners.

It should not trigger the alarm when the key is in and ignition on, that points at a system fault as it should turn the alarm off - unless it’s been played with?

The main alarm controller is in the FZD roof module (in the roof of the car somewhere I assume from that description).

Yea found it now and disconnected it and so far all good !
