Try Bimneretrofit or Xoupost possibly? Might have summat there.

If you have Comfort Seats you can't fit the BMW system as the wiring runs inside the support pillars for the headrestraints and that cannot be done (allegedly) on the comfort seats.

Paul,

Get some pics up of what you have. Need to also see what connections the screens have and where they currently go. Also, you need TV in motion activated to have them on whilst on the move (for the missus). ;)

Flattery will get you everywhere!

OK - from the pics of the connections you need to work out where that black connector comes from? Is it your DVD Changer?

Without being there I'm just guessing. As an example I have the yellow Video phono cable coming down the headrest (from my screens) and I have the power (one red positive and one black negative cable) plus I have the black connector similar to yours.

Like I said, just a guess but you need to find your power cables first (to eliminate them). Then the key cable you're looking for is the yellow phono cable carrying your video signal from the screens. Find this and you'll have a positive and negative cable for it too. These can be connected to the AV In/Out switch in the rear of the centre console to the Video IN to give the signal to the front screen. The switch (when opened) has 4 pairs of cables for audio in and audio out plus video in and video out. Process of connecting to these to work out which is the siganl you need - remember the screen up front needs to be on the AV channel to show your DVD changer signal.

Made mine more permanent by identifying all cables to that switch and splicing in phono ends. Now I just connect what I want to them.

Follow this (if it makes sense) - my screens are connected to the video out and the PS2 is connected to the video in and audio in. So, when the TV is on the signal gets sent OUT to the rear screens. Following the same logic, the PS2 sends its Audio and Video signals out, these are received IN to the switch, sent to the front screen, which in turn also sends that same signal OUT to the rear screens. Everything on the front screen is seen in the back ones.

You need your yellow phono connected to the switch video IN.

Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you too much.

Sorry buddy, busy day with kids. Good you have signal working. Is it from DVD to headunit up front? Was it trial and error?

As for the signal - I found that I needed a signal booster. Happened on mine and Pewters car. NOW though, I have reinstalled everything with a shorter cable and there is no need for the booster. You might need it though - ebay...
