Hi All
I have an 11 LCI MSport 30d. The car has two issues.
The oil level reads too high on the computer. The dipstick is showing perfect oil level.
The parking cameras show a fault on the dash but work when selected.
Any ideas what the issues may be ? Appreciate the help in advance
Steve

2011 LCI 30d Electrical Issues
Re: 2011 LCI 30d Electrical Issues
Hello,
I can't comment on the parking camera issues as mine did not have that facility.
With regard to the oil level, if the engine is hot the oil expands and the computer should give an accurate reading.
If reading the level using the dipstick the advice is always to wait a while after driving to let any oil in the engine drain back into the sump - by which time it will have cooled and "shrunk". So if you are reading the level on the dipstick when the engine is cold and it reads full, it will expand to over full when hot.
I always kept the level between the two marks on the dipstick, read when cold before starting the engine in the morning, and the computer display read full when the engine was hot - but not over full.
Hope this helps,
Graeme
