One that came out was like a honeycomb broken in half and completely rigid like it was made of wood lol nothing like the new one ,maybe its the original the factory fitted !
near 50 quid for 3 micro filters 2 underbonnet were possibly in 60k if service history is correct, got 2 genuine ones for 37 and interior one got for 12 as a genuine one was 40 which when you see it is a joke !
All were well past it !!!

yes but I think its a closely guarded secret as despite fsh my car had the original honeycomb plastic type one still fitted it left the factory with 10 years ago
I might take mine back out as there should be an air arrow that i didn't spot at the time and it might be the wrong way round , the honeycomb type didn't need an arrow as it made no difference so I had no way of knowing which way to fit it other than it should point into the duct and id need to have another look to decide which way that is as everything online is for lhd cars . It seems to be flowing ok but id like to turn it round just to see !

I had exactly the same situation. Despite FSH, the honeycomb filter was still there. I guessed at which way the arrow went, I can't remember what way round I did it now! The honeycomb filter broke up and fell to pieces as I took it out.

Yea mine was broken in half too and it happened before I even took it out , bmw genuine one was 40 quid cheapest I could find which I thought was very steep as they are just paper and 12 quid bought a Bosch one.
