Hi,
I'v just change the auto oil and filter, every thing went fine, I came to refilling the oil and when it started to drip out I put the filler bolt back in, started the car with my foot on the brake and went through all the gear a few times, then went under the car undid the filler bolt refilled it until the oil driped out again tighten up the bolt. Funny I thought, I took 4 Ltrs out but I'v only used 3 Ltrs in. So I start the car up, go through the gears again, stoped the car undid the fill bolt thinking I'll put the 1 Ltr I have left in, fluid came out of the filler hole, so tightened it up again. Whats wrong, does anyone know, cheers.

Not 100% but don't you check it with it running and warm.

I checked the oil with the engine turned off, do you think I should start the car and then recheck.

Yes i am sure that is the way to do it.
The oil temp is supposed to be at a certain temp but when we did mine we just got it warmed up to normal running temp on the temp gauge.

I sorted the prob, left the car running and got to temp, the box took another 1.5 liters.
