Hi all,

So today I travelled to the Guildford area to view a 2012 X5 - M Sport (35k, FSH)

Body work was ok but with a number of chips...however key thing of concern was that the bonnet looked slightly out off alignment.

See attached picture which shows from looking at it head on it being slightly to left (as you look at pic).

My E46 panels have perfect panel alignment so am surprised by this....

Salesrep said they might be able to adjust slightly - not sure if this is possible?

Is this normal? can it be adjusted? sign of anything sinister?

Yes the bonnet gaps are not even. Unless the car is cheap walk away as it would suggest panel damage which they haven't explained. Are there tell tale off spray signs anywhere under the bonnet?

Car is 18k, dealer will provide year warranty, but not cheap.

Car is amazingly clean essentially 2 previous owners but at same address pretty much full service history.

Its best I've seen otherwise but this and noise are making me think negative

Would panel damage be ok bonnet on adjacent wings ?
