Hi, have 2009 x6 E71, it been hit to a headlight. Im in trouble to find passive light with part number 7179935-07, but plenty ordinary xenon lights.
Wonder if it works if I do swap all my lights to a just standart xenon's. Or it wont work? At all will I have warning lights on dash or headlights wont light up.
Thx

Re: Changing headlights from passive to standart
I dont know for certain, but I would guess a change to Xenon would give a number of problems and require coding. That assumes its actually even possible. Xenons have self levelling motors so would need connections your car is unlikely to have.
A nice idea but probably problematic.

Thx for opinion.
I have come by few seller of the standart bi-xenon lights and they been saying, that they had few customers who did had also adaptive but because they were so rare and expensive they decided to convert to just xenon.
And apparently it is all down to programming them.
The headlight connection is 1 plug anyway.
Its all about tricking the brain.
But not sure who able to takes this job on. I don't think BMW will take me seriously.
