Anyone had their G01 X3 in for any type of service?
Got mine in for an Oil service and it way more than the old X3 F25 I had.
Interested to know if you go to the dealers or independent to get your servicing done? Also, might be useful to find out which is the cheapest dealership for servicing.

G01 Servicing costs
Re: G01 Servicing costs
Most Dealers use a ‘fixed price’ based system where BMW tell them how long it should take.
Our F46 is on a service plan as it’s not a year old yet, but the E71 and E46 are done by an independent garage run and staffed by ex-BMW techies. They charge £60/hr against my local Dealerships’ £220/hr but use BMW or the OEM parts that BMW rebadge as their own.
I use Carly to check the fault log and for simple fluids & filters servicing I do the majority myself. If it’s something where specialist tools or knowledge are needed (such as replacing all the glow-plugs on the X6, then I let the Indy do it. ‘Heavy’ work that needs a full-lift is again an Indy job.
BMW have started to add a 90-minute safety check into everything, and that may push the prices, plus there is more to check on current generation cars with a lot of it harder to get to for servicing too. Servicing should be simpler but the opposite seems to be the case.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
