7 digit postcode on Professional Nav 2008 E70

Can anyone tell me if they have successfully used a non-OEM disc to get full 7 digit postcode search on a pre-LCI E70?

I thought that it worked if you had a mapping disc dated after 2012 or 2013?
I know our E46 only supported it from around then. Certainly works on a 2018 mapping DVD.

I have this function on an aftermarket disc, but the process of inputting the code is somewhat tedious. Its not just a straight seven digits and requires trickery. I have to look out the supplied instructions virtually every time, as its not easy (for me) to remember using it as infrequently as i do
AFAIK no OEM discs offer this on pre LCI cars.
