HI All.
We are considering the idea of getting a X5 40e. We currently have a 2009 X5 e70 3.0D Xdrive which is a pleasure but also a pain at the same time to drive as we use it so inefficiently
I do a lot much mileage where the trip is less than 10 miles in total(Nursery drop, shopping run). On average we are doing 280-320 miles per month at the moment. The car has been on the motorway once this year for a reason (Airport run) 3 other times to blow it out(Shocking I know). It has 7 seats but we never use the rear two as my son is 3 and another mini me is due shortly. My mother in law cant get into the back due to her age and my father in law also wont be able to do the jump(unfair to cram them in there). I definitely cant fit and my wife isnt keen either. They are REALLY only for kids, and I cant wait another 5 years to put my 1 son in the back. So no benefit from a X5 7 seater.
I have seen a few 2015 X5 40e with 80k. Therefore no warranty. Can anyone attest to still having 1 out of warranty and possibly high mileage? Are the batteries still working relatively ok? Any other pitfalls to be wary of, or just avoid?
Otherwise might look at a XC90 Diesel with 7 seats (Sad to leave BMW behind).
Any pointers appreciated.

Re: x5 40e Questions
You could always put a bmw warranty on it.
