2004 tv no sound

Good morning all

I have recently purchased am 05 x3 which has the tv option.
The TV works and I can pick up all the channels but the is no sound?

Occasionally the word "Mute" flashes up but I've tried using the volume button and searched through all the settings but to no avail1

To be fair I'll probably never use it but I know it'll bug the hell out of me!

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi , you have to note that automatiquely when the Tv system detect a poor video signal, it mutes the Tv audio , so first thing to do is to verify you tv antenna cables and connectors .
if the video signal is good and still no audio then it might be a cooding problem .
