I want to remove roof bars and rear wiper delete on my e53 4.8 has anyone done this would be keen to see results also how easy is it?

i am guessing it involves removing roof lining?

Have a look at newtis.info - it’s a copy of the BMW Service Manual used by Dealers.

will be removing my roof bars easy job no need to drop head lining , look on the inner edge of the roof bar you will see 3 rubber bungs prise these away then undo the bolts x3 lift off roof bar , then remove the brackets left bolted to the roof hey presto no roof bars , all you need to do is polish where the brackets used to be and seal and fit some bungs to cover the mounting holes .

removed my roof bars today easy job all you need are the following ;

T40 torx socket bit
10mm socket
ratchet to suit the above bits
small pick
16 mm blanking grommetts x2
18 mm blanking grommetts x8
M6 x10 mm socket cap bolts x10
some polish and cloths

i used the M6 x 10mm bolts to go back in the holes left in the roof once the fixing bolts are out , wont be removing my rear wiper way to handy .
