Too little and too late I think diesel is near the end as a fuel for cars
An unusual thought......
Back in day Petrol was the devils juice until the emission changes aka the catalytic converter.
Diesel has went through similar changes allbeit slower, Euro4,5,6 and now 6b,
Governments are renowned for u turns and this will be A N other event
There is insufficient infrastructure to support plans of electricifying cars let alone the carbon offset from the exhaust to the power plant (which in Britain)
“Electricity generation in the UK comes from three main sources – gas, coal-fired power stations and nuclear. A small but growing proportion of electricity is supplied by renewables.” Google quote
Not to mention the detriment of lithium mining & selective hydro carbon byproduct choices to manufacturer high speed milk floats.....
“Diesel will be around for many years to come
“ & government will see sense and u turn
Allbeit older euro classes will invariably be taxed at higher premiums
