Hi all

As it says really when I open the tailgate I get rainwater drip out of the bottom of the lock, onto my head. Had a quick google didn't really find an answer. Has anyone experienced this before?

The rear light seals on the tailgate are well known for letting in water so id check these and you can buy new seals . If you pull out the little plastic bulb covers on the back behind each boot taillight you will see if waters been getting in or not.

I too have exactly this problem. I'll have a look around the lights too. One was replaced last year because of a failed led strip. So it may well be the problem.

I certainly don't want the electronic release failing through water ingress!

Hi. I've got exactly the same problem too now. Did anyone ever trace the exact cause...... it's really annoying when the boot lock starts dripping, especially when it ends up down the neck of your shirt because there's often a little delay before it start peeing out! Will check the light seals first but any heads up on what others found would be great.
