One touch indicators/halo light on all the time

Hi,

Just bought a 2006 X5 as a winter runaround and 2 things that massively annoy me are the indicators don't do the normal 3 flash thing when you press on the stalk and the halo lights aren't on all the time.
Are these things that be set up to work like this?

I searched on here but couldn't find any answers.

Thats how the e53 came out of the factory....no 3 flash indicator and DRL's which only became law in around 2009, so not fitted although you can get them programmed to do so....
