I live in Australia and I am currently considering the purchase of a relatively low kilometer (94K) 2007 (MY07) E83, with the 3.0L diesel power unit (Engine code: DDE6.2.6).
The published combined urban and peri-urban driving fuel consumption for the E83 power unit is listed as 8.6 litres /100 km and for the F25 power unit (Engine code N57D30A) 6.0 litres / 100km.
This represents a huge difference in fuel consumption between the models and wanted to know if anyone could verify these figures and if correct, what gives the F25 power unit the huge consumption advantage.
Look forward to some responses in due course.
Thanks.
Mark
