Headlights strobing..

Hi guys,
Just noticed that when I turn the key one click in my 2003 E53 the headlights strobe from left to right until I start the engine.
Any ideas?

Are they going from left to right or could they be going up and down ?.
The self levelling will make them go up and down.

On my e53 they always went up and down......

Hi guys, they're definitely going left to right and they do this for about 10 secs.

My angel eye / halo/ front marker lights used to strobe on startup, this is normal with aftermarket LED ( white ) front markers.
The bulb. Heck voltage is enough to light up the LED, but not the OEM halogen bulbs
Is it the front marker \ halo lights you mean or the dipped beam?
