Tracker/Trackstar/Somethign else - Please help me identify!!

When we had the new car open at the weekend to fit the towbar, came accross this box in back, which my auto electrian friend said was a tracker. I would need to re-activate it if I wanted to use it.

Now with the insurance up for renewal in the next month, I want find out what it is. Any ideas??

Failing that I will have to phone the stealers tomorrow to see if they have any history of it. It wasn't mentioned when I bought it, but I'm already the third owner of the car (only 2 years old too) and it could have been fitted aftermarket.

Doesn't look like a Tracker.

You can phone the tracker company and they will check their records and advise. Yu then have the option to renew as the new owner.

The problem is there are no markings or identification on the box apart from a number.

The box has been put in after the factory though, you can tell by the eletrical tape work and huge pile of silicon glue it is sitting in to hold it in place and prevent any tampering.

So who do you phone?

Also previous owners also had cars on private plates which makes trackign this stuff a bit harder.

Does anyone recoginse the number N4DMR?

Hi Ashley, i used to work for Cobra-Navtrak UK, and all i know is our GPS units were a fair big bigger than that, so if it is a tracker i suppose thats one company eliminated

"TRACKED" it down!!

Quite a few calls later after the stealers were not helpful at all and then doing round robin on all the companies - one had it registered.

Not telling you what it is - but should mean I won't have so much hassle on the insurance renewal.

Anyone recomend a good comapny? Privelege seem to be best at the moment, cheaper than LV and far cheaper than my current renewal quote.
