Anyone tried Nightbreaker Laser D1S (or other fittings) HIDs?

As I am doing more and more night driving now, and have been a little spoilt by the excellent adaptive and matrix LEDs on our 2-series, I am looking at upgrading the HID lamps in my X6 to Osram Xenarc Nightbreaker Laser units. Price is around £75 per bulb for 35W/85V D1S.
As with a lot of these lamps there is often hype and myth that belies actual on road performance. I’m not looking at upgrading the power levels or modding the lamps as the car remains under OEM warranty. These are a straight plug and play swap out.
I have seen a test that shows an increase of 140 Lux between standard lamps and these new revision Ostmark lamps using a semi-scientific light meter in the hot spot method.
Has anyone on here tried them, and what are your impressions?
