Hey guys,

I am looking to get the cic retrofit done to my x5 but iv read loads of horror stories? Anyone on here had this done?

Iv heard loads of things could stop working?

Reverse cam
Tv
dab
Rear entertainment etc?

This probably isn't much help, but I had mine done a couple of years ago... The chap who did it took some persuading, because they are a bit of a PITA. He did a great job and it all worked perfectly, including the reverse camera. Once complete, he said he would not doing an E70 again though.

If I remember correctly, he got the emulator from Romania.

Thanks mate, iv heard they are a right pita! Did the emulator work? Worried about putting in non oem parts

All worked fine, I never had any problems with it. Even the reverse camera, which often cause a problem, worked as it should.

Hi, Bimjim, where did you get the emulator from please?

Any links or guides please? and if you do not mind how much did it cost you to have it upgraded please?

I'm trying to work out the costs of upgrading my CCC to the new CIC system or alternative is to forget it and put in a Android screen instead.

The Android tablet upgrade looks like the better option - any experience of this?
