Winter Wheels

Post by Hughieboy » Tue Oct 09, 2018 8:11 am

Hi,
I have a 2014 X3 20d M Sport LCI and it has 19" wheels on it. I want to put winter wheels and tyres on it for the Winter. Can I just put 17" or 18" wheels on it as a direct fit? There seems to be plenty complete used sets for sale on ebay etc, not so much in the larger sizes and I'd rather not go through the whole getting the tyres changed on the rims twice a year performance.
Thanks!

Yes as long as they are the correct wheel for the car.

You can also check Realoem for the matching sets and you tyre pressure plate for the approved sizes.

I run 20” Summer and 19” winter, with BMW storing the ‘off car’ set somewhere in Northamptonshire.  They do the change twice a year for about £45 including a 90-minute safety check and apply any software updates etc.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
