Hello Guys,
I’ve gone and bought myself a drone and had a little play this afternoon, so if you don’t mind I thought I’d post the initial results here for your views.

I hope the link works and if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears.
Don.

DJI Mavic?
The updated version is on my shopping list, but the lens choices mean I may actually need both! Cameras not interchangeable annoyingly.

I did consider holding off for the Mavic 2 but as I’m new to this game, the air seems a very good starting point. I can always look to upgrade in a couple of years. This is my second Air, see link below to see why I needed to buy a second

Ah, or would that have been Aaarghhh! ? Someone forgot to ‘check 6’ methinks.
The Pro2 is what I’m looking at because of the sensor now chosen. It’ll have to wait a bit until we recover from buying the F46 Gran Tourer - still have the X6 though.

Well the story is as follows
The wife and I were out for a romantic drive up the coast when we stopped in the small, picturesque village of Cunshendun, the idiotic picture postcard bridge was to good to miss, so out came the drone. The idea was a simple flight under the bridge, turn around and back again. However, as the drone went under I was unable to see it against the back drop, so decided to err of the side of caution, and just take the drone up so I could see it again and then fly over the bridge. At this stage all I could rely on was the picture on my phone and as you can see, it does look like I’m well clear of the bridge. Oh well, the rest is history and I’ve hopefully learnt a valuable lesson!

Great video and they’re a great little drone.
I also have the Mavic Air and took it in holiday to Greece earlier this year. The image quality is superb and it’s really easy to fly with full confidence.
By chance I took mine up to the South Downs today but the weather whilst warm was not too clear so the shots were a bit crap.
I used it to sneak up on the house we’re hopefully buying, I needed to confirm if I could play with the drive to fit all of our cars in....very useful
And in Greece for example with an interesting effect

Some of the special photographic/video features these drones have are bloody brilliant.

That’s a much bigger beastie! Getting approval for operating those for work put me off going into the commercial market. I wouldn’t do enough if it to recover the costs of the kit and courses
Still tempted though.
