100k milage service requirements?

Post by valks1 » Sun Sep 23, 2018 4:52 pm

Hi
I do a lot of my own servicing on my cars. Just wondered if anyone knows what would be checked or changed at a 100k service.

Spark plug are a 100k item I know that for sure. I also did the front diff oil, rear diff oil, gearbox oil and transfer case oil. When doing the transfer case you have to use DIS to reset the wear for the oil which is fairly simple to do. BMW says they are lifed oils but I've seen most people changing them just for peace of mind.

BMW’s ‘life’ is just three years. This is what they call the service life. As you have found, the transmission lubes need doing every 60,000 miles.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
