Got into the car the other day and noticed that no air was coming out the vents. Have done some searching on here and done the usual check on the fuses. Not sure if this is related to FSR? My brother had the same issue on his 1series.

All the buttons work, just nothing coming out the vents front and back (it does make a little noise). Rear windscreen heat element/defrost is working fine.

FSR is a common fault.
Some get a bit of warning with the fan speed going funny but when mine want the fan just didn't work one day like yours.

thanks, I am right is saying this is located in the passenger footwell and is easy enough done as a DIY? will check on realoem for part number

Not sure on the location on your car as mine is the older e53.
Somebody will be along later with the answer i am sure.
