Uniroyal Rainsports

Post by Wafoo » Sat Aug 25, 2018 8:04 am

Have just purchased a 2005 E83 and after reading the horror stories of mismatched tyres want to fit a set of the above, but which Unisports?
I've seen Rainmaster, Rainmaster 3, Rainmaster 3 SUV????
Any help much appreciated

Is it an Msport ?
Is it running a staggered setup ?
What tyre sizes are you running at the moment ?
My E83 was running on 19/235/ on the front and 19/255/40 on the rear ( staggered setup
I had transmission problems
As the staggered rims ( Msport ) are only 1/2 wider on the rears I was able to fit 19/255/40 on all 4 corners.
So a full set of new matching tyres, no need for star marking, as they are now all identical profile/ make etc
All my troubles went away for £90 a corner

No it's a square set up running 235/50/18's so 4 matching will do?

I have rainsport 3 on my 320d and love them.
Would put them on my x5 but can't get the size for the rear only front.

We'll fitted them and what a difference, the slight hesitation has gone and the clunk with it, all for £77 a corner

Good news!
The last time I tried Unis was on my E30 about 10 years ago, and that time I was underwhelmed.

Different car I know, but I had them on my Škoda Superb 3 4x4 before it went.  Uni are part of Continental Tyres, so can’t be all bad.  I found they had plenty of grip wet or dry.  They replaced the OEM supplied Pirellis and were much quieter.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
