Timing chain guides on N62 4.4l

I have had a search around but seem to come up with answers about the M62 engine cam chain and guides problems and replacement but nothing to answer my questions.
Do the N62 engines have the chain guide problems similar to the M62 or did BMW finally get it right.
I was reading a bit about the high temperature that the N62s run at and have ordered a 85°C thermostat from Turner motorsport and will be replacing all the rubber gaskets along with many other jobs and mods before I put it back on the road including a solid bullbar to protect it against the Furry grasshoppers, no need to hold your nose it wont look that bad, ::) I already have a few designs which I will be putting on it in the 3D CAD

I owned a pre-facelift M62 4.4i.

I have not heard of timing chain guide issues on N62 V8, however, I cannot definitively state it does not have them.

See this thread on another site https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/x5- ... ssues.html

I suggest that you email some bmw independent specialists.

The N62 can suffer valley pan coolant pipe gasket failure & valve stem seal guide issues. .....so be mindful of those issues.

Thanks AW8 that is one less thing I will need to check up on.
I was looking at the way they have used separate chain for each bank which is a big improvement over the long chain on the M62 and M60.
I was also wondering about Vanos problems as the E36 320 I owned had problems with the seals going hard but I could not even find one post anywhere about it and even Biesan engineering doesn't make parts for them so I figured that BMW has also figured out that mistake.
So now to lifting the manifold that looks more like a letterbox and the camshaft covers to replace the brittle gaskets there.
