Having Picked up the X5 with a new set of Dunlop RF, i thought i would see if i could live with them for a while. Well i only lasted about a week, to me the car never felt quite right, hard to put my finger on , so today got a set of Kumhos fitted non RF. Wow such a vast improvement the car feels more settled and planted on the road, so smooth and refined. i recon it handles better too.

Are they staggered? Do F15’s suffer from the same issue E70’s do with non * marked Tyres?

Allegedly the F15 has an updated transmission system so much is less prone to the issues with non-approved tyres affecting earlier cars. How well that will turn out in real world motoring is as yet unknown. No issues have been reported to date on this Forum.

I’m changing mine in a few months, currently on the same set up but on Pirelli P Zeros
Would be interested to see how you’re getting on a few months down the line, if there are any issues with trans etc that people talk about on here.
What year and model is your car? Mines 13 and a 30d

Yours is also an E70, not an F15. Different transmission variants.

Had the same tyres on my last F15 and that was fine. I think it helps that there all new and the same tread depth ect

One of the changes I want to make to mine when the tyres need replacing. Mine are also staggered 20” and feel that there is too much tyre roar and “heaviness” to the way the tyres pitter patter over imperfections.
To the OP: did you get a space saver or will rely on road assistance?

I just carry that green repair kit which comes with a little compressor and foam,, also have green flag ect. I cant remember the last time i had to change a tyre roadside so not to worried.
