Went camping at the weekend, loads of fun and memories for the kids and all that
Whilst unloading the topbox I dropped something heavy onto the rear top qtr panel and......bang :'(
I’ve got a PDR man arriving tomorrow however due to the location he’s not sure if he’ll be of much use.
Talk about muttering under my breath and being angry with myself!

Well I had a visit a couple of weeks ago by a dent magician and he had a go at removing the dent.
It transpires it’s in the worst possible place with no access to the rear at all and no chance of even drilling a small hole elsewhere to gain access. £50 later and it was almost out but still the size of a 5p piece so very visible from all angles.
I have a mate who owns a Coachworks company and he assured me they could do a better job still using the PDR method rather than filling and spraying.
I left it with him this morning and to cut a long story short the dent has now gone.........I mean, gone and not just a little bit gone, gone gone!
When I asked how they managed to remove it and why they did a good job when the other dent man couldn’t and it was for two reasons: Apparently they started by re-introducing the dent again and starting over still using the glue and pull method and the man who did my dent this morning taught the man who taught the man who tried a couple of weeks ago.
Not expensive and a lot cheaper and better than painting!
If you live in West Sussex, you could do a lot worse than using Phil at Washington Coachworks.

Great result - you must be rather relieved!

The car is still absolutely mint (should be, it’s only two years old!) and even a small dent as was after PDR number one was doing my head in!
Now just have to get the wheels swapped by BMW under warranty......standard corrosion around the centre caps!

Very nice job.
I wonder if the coach works used by the X6 insurer will do something similar? Most of the scuffs are very light though it will need some paintwork in a couple of places too.

Hi
Glad you managed to get it sorted at your mates coach-works, a very impressive fix, as it's so annoying when those things happen.
