Changing gearbox fluid..

Ok, so as my car has just passed 75k, and BMW in their "wisdom" say the fluid is "lifetime" then I will be changing it shortly. Already got 10Ltrs of genuine ZF Lifeguard 8 and a genuine ZF sump pan/filter to hand, but I have a question.
On the many videos I looked at (not that I need to be told how to do it lol) I noticed quite a few were also dropping the valve chest (mechatronic) and replacing a rectangular double seal between it and the gearbox body. Now I've searched on realoem and the likes but cannot seem to find a part number for this. Apparently, the seal wears on it's edges, allowing loss of pressure, which can affect the smoothness of down changes. My car doesn't suffer with this, but, whilst I'm in there and all that...
I'll take some pics and post up a how to if anyone is interested..

BMW ‘Lifetime’ = 3-year’s or 60,000 miles which strangely is the length of the warranty. 60k miles seems a recommended change point by the manufacturer, and they ought to know.

Can't help with the seal Mike but defiantly interested in a 'How Too' please buddy.
Mines on 99k so more than ready for a change.
Where did you get the fluid and filter from?

£239 for 10 litres genuine lifeguard 8 and a genuine zf filter pan and screws. I could have got the zf filter and 10 litres of comma compatible fluid from euro for £130 on my account, but would prefer genuine fluid in my own car.

Thanks Mike.
I have a good idea what to do but a quick DIY from you would be good.
Will you be using software to keep an eye on the temps?

Yes mate as it's critical for getting the level right.
